Hluboká nad Vltavou offers many possibilities how to spend your leisure time. There are picturesque places for bathing, visitors can use tennis courts, many people visit Hluboká because of the well-known golf links here.
If you visit Hluboká nad Vltavou in the summer, you may choose from several options of bathing. Natural bathing lovers will enjoy the real southbohemian romantic of bathing in lake in Bezdrev or Křivonosky, that can be found near Hluboká. But for watergames lovers the ideal place is the town swimming pool in Podskalí. You will find it on the left bank of Vltava, under the castle. There are two pools with different deepness in the area, then you will enjoy the countercurrent flow, switchback, chutes, water bulge, massage places and hot tubes. The beachvolleyball court, where the net and a ball can be hired, is available as well. The swimming pool is a parto of the sporting area Hluboká, that offers tennis courts, golf links, football playground and a bowling.
There is a winter stadium on the banks of Vltava with the open ice surface on which a popular ice-skating is organised several times a week.
There are several cycling tracks near Hluboká nad Vltavou, so cycling lovers will enjoy their time as well.
However not every visitor goes to Hluboká to see the castle, but to play golf. Local golf links are famous amongst the players, although it was built only in 2000. The exceptional placement and wonderful surroundings near the castle Hluboká surely add to the popularity of the local golf links. The links are approximately 70 hectares in the area and comprise of 18+9 holes and big driving range. This links are not only for professional players, you may also experience a training course.
Since the seventies the legendary Hluboká horse-races take place every year. Nowadays Dvůr Vondrov that can be found near Ohrada town is the centre of horseracing in the region. You may see several taming races or jump races. Those who are interested can hire a horse and have a ride through the wonderful countryside, meadows and forests near Hluboká.
